Enterpreneurial and Vocational Skills Developement

At Live Right Ghana, we help women thrive by providing comprehensive entrepreneurial and vocational training. Through various programs, we empower women with the skills they need to become self-sufficient, improve their livelihoods, and break free from the constraints of financial dependency. The various ways we help women in entrepreneurial and vocational skills development include:

Vocational Training in Beads, Tie and Dye, and Other Crafts
We offer specialized training in the creation of jewelry (beads), clothing, and accessories (tie and dye), giving women the skills to start their own businesses or sell their handmade products in the market.
Managerial and Technical Capacity Building
We equip women with essential managerial and technical skills, such as business management, marketing, and customer relations, to ensure they can successfully run self-owned or joint businesses.
Start-Up Business Support
We provide women with the necessary tools, resources, and logistics to launch their businesses, from supplying basic equipment to offering startup capital and guidance on legal business setup.
Mentorship and Ongoing Training
We offer mentorship and continuous training to help women entrepreneurs navigate the challenges of business management, improve their business strategies, and scale their operations.
Establishing Women’s Associations for Collective Success

Malaria and HIV/AIDs Prevention

we are committed to improving health through education and proactive measures aimed at preventing the spread of malaria and HIV/AIDS. Our approach involves community outreach, sensitization, and the distribution of essential materials to encourage healthier lifestyles. The various ways we contribute to malaria and HIV/AIDS prevention include:

Education and Sensitization
We provide comprehensive educational programs to raise awareness about malaria and HIV/AIDS. These sessions are designed to inform communities about prevention methods, symptoms, and the importance of early detection. Through workshops, seminars, and community discussions, we aim to change attitudes and behaviors to reduce the spread of these diseases.
Distribution of Printed Materials on HIV/AIDS Prevention
To complement our educational efforts, we distribute printed materials such as pamphlets, brochures, and posters. These materials contain vital information on HIV/AIDS prevention, safe practices, and the importance of regular testing. This ensures that everyone in the community has access to reliable information on how to protect themselves.
Distribution of Condoms
As part of our HIV/AIDS prevention strategy, we distribute condoms to promote safe sex practices. Our goal is to reduce the transmission of HIV and other sexually transmitted infections by ensuring that people have easy access to protective measures, empowering them to make safer choices.
Encouraging the Use of Insecticide-Treated Mosquito Nets
We actively encourage the use of insecticide-treated mosquito nets as a key measure to prevent malaria. By distributing these nets to communities and educating people on their proper use, we aim to reduce malaria transmission rates, particularly in high-risk areas.

Hygiene Education

At Live Right Ghana, we prioritize the promotion of good hygiene practices as a key part of our efforts to improve health and well-being. Our programs focus on educating communities about the importance of hygiene, menstrual hygiene management, and proper handwashing techniques. The various ways we help promote hygiene education include

Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH)
We provide education on water, sanitation, and hygiene practices (WASH) to communities, emphasizing the importance of clean water, safe sanitation, and good hygiene habits. Our WASH initiatives aim to reduce waterborne diseases and improve overall health by promoting healthy behaviors.
Menstrual Hygiene Management
We offer menstrual hygiene management programs to ensure that women and girls have the knowledge and resources to manage their menstrual health effectively. This includes providing reusable sanitary pads, educating on menstrual health, and advocating for better facilities in schools and communities for menstrual care.
Handwashing and Hygiene Education
Our handwashing campaigns promote the importance of regular handwashing to prevent the spread of diseases. We conduct training sessions and distribute educational materials to communities, encouraging people to wash their hands with soap, especially after using the toilet and before preparing food.
Clean-Up Exercises
We organize clean-up exercises in communities to promote cleanliness and waste management. These activities not only help improve the immediate environment but also serve as educational opportunities to teach communities about the importance of proper waste disposal and maintaining a clean, safe environment.
Recycling and Composting Education
We educate communities on the benefits of recycling and composting to reduce waste and promote sustainable environmental practices. By offering practical training on how to compost organic waste and recycle materials, we encourage the adoption of eco-friendly practices in daily life.

Climate Change

At Live Right Ghana, we recognize the urgent need to tackle menstrual waste pollution while ensuring sustainable menstrual hygiene solutions for women and girls. Through our Bleeding Green Programme, we actively contribute to climate action by promoting eco-friendly, reusable sanitary solutions that significantly reduce plastic waste.

Promoting Reusable Sanitary Pads
We provide affordable, reusable sanitary pads that last for up to 5 years, reducing the need for thousands of disposable pads in a woman’s lifetime. These pads are made from 100% biodegradable fabric, eliminating plastic waste and minimizing pollution.
Sustainable Menstrual Hygiene Education
Through our outreach programs, we educate young girls and women on the environmental impact of disposable pads and the benefits of sustainable alternatives. We provide training on the proper care of reusable pads, promoting eco-friendly menstrual hygiene practices that reduce waste and support a healthier planet.
Safe Disposal & Waste Management Initiatives
We advocate for responsible menstrual waste management by ensuring schools and spaces have segregated disposal bins to prevent pollution and clogged drainage. Additionally, we provide incineration solutions for non-biodegradable pads, reducing environmental harm and promoting cleaner, healthier communities.
